If travelling from Cockermouth take B5289 signposted Lorton. Ignore left turn to High Lorton and proceed towards Low Lorton. Continue for 3 miles following the signs to Loweswater. At a red telephone box turn left and the Kirkstile Inn is 200 yards along this road.
